COMMUNITY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

Our club provides financial support to various Kiwanis programs, such as the Kiwanis Youth Scholarship and the Iowa Hugh O'Brien Youth Camp.  

We also provide financial assistance to many other community programs that advance the purposes of our club, especially those serving children. 

This support is made available through the Burlington Kiwanis Activities Corporation, an entity that is qualified under Internal Revenue Code section 501(c)(3) to receive and distribute charitable contributions. We turn over the proceeds of our various fund raising efforts to this corporation and each year the Board of Directors makes distribution from these funds to worthy community causes.  For a number of fiscal years, the Activities Corporation has distributed over $32,000 to recipients in our community (click for detail for 2005-2006):

We encourage our club members, and members of the public as well, to make donations for the support of our Kiwanis charitable purposes .  If you would like to help us provide financial assistance to deserving causes in our community, you may make tax deductible gifts to the Kiwanis Activities Corporation, c/o The Burlington Kiwanis Club, P.O.
