In order to support our community service and financial assistance
programs, our club engages in a number of fundraising activities.
 | PANCAKE DAY -- Our club's annual Pancake Breakfast is our club's
primary fund raising activity . It is held at the Port of Burlington on the
Saturday before Memorial Day, and can be best described as "a
happening" in Burlington. We receive very fine community support,
Last year we served more than 3400 breakfasts and raised more than $19,000
from this event. Since Kiwanis members and civic-minded businesses
underwrite almost all of the costs of the breakfast, we are able to contribute
almost all of the gross proceeds of the event to our charitable purposes.

Each Christmas season our club organizes and staffs facilities
for taking pictures of children with Santa at our area's Fun City
hotel/motel and entertainment complex. The net proceeds of the picture-taking activities go to support the club's
