Dear Friends,

This is a great time to be a Kiwanian! With our Kiwanis club there are many opportunities to serve the children of our community. We have a number of committees working hard to increase our opportunities to serve our children. There is no shortage of need in our community, and we need to remain focused on our goal of changing the world, one child and one community at a time.

One way to increase our ability to serve is to increase membership. I emphasized growth in my address to the club when I became President. We need to make growth, both recruitment and retention a priority. What is the one thing we have to do to recruit a new member? We have to ask them to join! There are many people willing, able, and interested in serving the children of our community. We must find those people and ask them to join the number one service club in Burlington , the Burlington Kiwanis Club. We must show them that we have a club that is full of opportunities to serve. I believe that when a new recruit is shown the value of membership in the Burlington Kiwanis Club, they will become a member. So, recruit, recruit, recruit!

Thank you for your service.
Dave Stoermer, President
