Fellow Kiwanians,

 I think we are all happy that Spring is here! It has been a cold, long winter, and it is nice to see the longer and warmer days again. Even though it has been a long winter, and the grass in our lawns has been dormant, that doesn’t mean that our club has been dormant. We have had committees working hard trying to make a difference in our community. One of the committees that have been meeting is the New Fund-Raiser Comm. They have come up with six ideas for possible new fund-raising projects. These new ideas are very exciting. There will be more to come on the new ideas, later.

Spring also means that it is time in the Kiwanis year to put together a new slate of Officers and Board members. Our election is scheduled for May 3rd. For the Burlington Kiwanis Club to continue to make a difference in our community, we need strong, dedicated leaders. I have formed a nominating committee, chaired by past President Wyman Weinbeck, and I have charged this committee with the responsibility to find these leaders, and present a slate of candidates on April 19th. This committee will be looking for a Vice-President Elect, and four board members. If you want to make a difference in our club and in our community, and want a very rewarding experience, please contact Wyman, or myself. Please step up to the plate, we need your help
