Dear Kiwanians,

 I hope Spring has finally sprung! Spring is a very busy time in our Kiwanis year. The Pancake Breakfast committee has been working very hard, planning our largest fundraiser. The committee has made some changes in the event this year, in hopes of making it bigger and better. It is now time for the rest of us to sign up and do our part. The Pancake Breakfast requires a very large number of Kiwanians to work on the event, and this is our largest fundraiser, so please sign up now. 

Spring also means that it is time for Kiwanis Golf League. The Golf League is a great way to meet other Kiwanians in an informal setting and have fun. Kiwanis Golf league works on a handicap system, so it does not make any difference whether you are a scratch golfer, or a duffer, you can still play and have fun. 

Kiwanis Night-Out will soon be here, it is scheduled for May 18th. Be sure to mark your calendars. This year the entertainment will be a combination of professional talent and Kiwanis talent. It promises to be an entertaining night, so don't forget. 

These are not the only committees that have been hard at work. I want to thank all of you for your service.

KIWANIS ANNUAL MEETING

On May 3, the Burlington Kiwanis Club Annual meeting will be held at which time the officers for the coming year will be elected from the following slate of candidates: 

President: Kay Sackville Breuer • Vice President: Jerry Parks 

Vice President Elect: Craig Smith 

The offices of Secretary & Treasurer both remain open. If you are interested in assuming one of those positions please see Wyman Weinbeck or President Stoermer. 

Directors with 1 year remaining on their terms are: Ernie Voigt • Angela Walker • Bruce Smith• George Galvin 

Nominations for Directors for a 2 year term are: Chris Van Meter • Bob Morgan • Tom Pilcher • Rick Buller 

The new Kiwanis Year will begin October 1, 2007.
