Welcome to the new year of the Burlington Kiwanis Club. I am very excited to start the year and work with each of you to help the children in our area.It has been very busy getting the club ready. I have been amazed by your graciousness to volunteer, the kind comments, and words of encouragement.

Without giving you my entire speech set for installations on October 4 and the unveiling of the new Sergeant At Arms on October 11, I want to let you know that we have some fun things set for the year. Our two largest fundraisers will both have milestones this year. The Santa Project is set for a new location and new technology, both creating the hope that this will be a record year. The Pancake Breakfast is celebrating its 20th Anniversary and as always one of the community favorites.

You will see some changes in both of our fundraising and services project areas. Stemming from this past year there are several new fundraiser ideas that may flourish into fruition. We will also be bringing back the Rose Day Sales for Administrative Assistants Day. In terms of service project areas, I have been challenged by our Lieutenant Governor, Michelle Williams, to look at how many service projects we can complete in addition to the fundraisers. I look forward to seeing what new projects, both service and fundraising, we can accomplish by working together

Thank you for offering me this opportunity to work with each of you. I look forward to see what the Burlington Kiwanis Club can Accomplish together.

Sincerely,

Kay
