Happy New Year!

Well, we made it. Another year and the first quarter of Kiwanis are under our belts. What a ride! The first quarter of Kiwanis is a busy one. Thank you to all members who volunteered for many of our activities. We made it through our first year of the Santa Project at a new location. I know many of you helped with multiple shifts all to realize we didn’t have the stellar year we had hoped for. As we all know these are just bumps in the road and we will be back next year with more advertising, different hours and lots of new ideas. A special thanks to Phil Bartelson who practically lived at Fun City to make sure there weren’t any major kinks. Thanks for all of your volunteer time Phil. 

As we look forward to a new year, I hope we all find a place to help out the club. If there is a committee or project you are interested in and didn’t get signed up for, let me know. Working on a project is a great way to get to know each other better. The proceeds from the Santa project are lower than in past years. The rest of our projects will need to be above normal if we want to continue giving donations as we have in the past. It will take all of us working together to accomplish these goals.

Our membership is holding steady. We were plus one in membership after our last board meeting. Please take a moment to think about friends or acquaintances you would like to invite to the club. On the next page you will find a helpful guide to generate some of those names.                   .       \
