Dear Fellow Kiwanians,

Dear Kiwanians, I think we are all tired of the cold, snow and ice, so thinking about Pancakes, Kiwanis Night Out, Golf League and Sports Day has my mind wandering to sunshine and fun! I encourage all of you to join in the fun! We can always use a volunteer to help out or just come and relax at one of the events. Over the past five months, it is amazing how things have evolved. As most of you know, I have no problem public speaking. It has always been part of my job and other volunteer work. The interesting thing for me is that I don’t feel comfortable up at that podium. I am trying to relax and act a little silly, (I know I can be too politically correct at times!) Finally, after five months it is starting to feel more comfortable. Thank you to everyone who has helped with new ideas and words of wisdom! The first five months for the club were just as busy as they always have been. Some of the Directors at today’s board meeting were talking about how the club is really in a transition stage. We are beginning to realize that we have four generations working together and understand how that needs to happen. Everyone has a different expectation out of their membership and fulfilling those expectations is a constant task. Through all of the efforts of Tom Cameron , we have a great newsletter. As he steps down there is a whole new set of opportunities for the club’s newsletter. This transition is allowing us to take a step back and look at what we can offer our members in the form of a newsletter. Please let me know your ideas. I look forward to seeing you at a Thursday meeting or a fun event!
