Serving the Children of the World.®
Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to
changing the world one child and one community at a time.

Fellowship Activities

Our club engages in many activities designed to provide fellowship and camaraderie among our members. Our primary fellowship activity is our weekly luncheon meeting, where we eat, conduct Kiwanis business, hear speakers and have fun! but we have many other activities and programs for our members to get together, socialize and have fun, including the following:

Christmas in July

Co-Chair: Whitney Henderson & Dennis Imler

Family Pinic

Co-Chair: Michelle Snicker & Lynday Murray
Each fall our club members bring their families to a picnic.

Feather Party

Chair: Larry Turley
(also known as "TURKEY DAY") Before Thanksgiving each year our club gives over one of its meetings to awarding a large number of Thanksgiving turkeys to members who are lucky enough to win them at Bingo.

Golf League

Co-Chair: Bob Prall & Bob Morgan
Our club has a very active golf league, at the Flint Hills Golf Course in Burlington, where our members compete in teams and individually with each other, but all in good fun.

Inter-Clubs

In order to promote interaction among the various Kiwanis Clubs, Kiwanis International requires that each club send some of its members to meetings of other clubs. These reciprocal visits give our club members an appreciation of the activities of other clubs and the chance to meet Kiwanians from other cities.

Kiwanis Singers

Chair: Vicki Stoller
The Kiwanis Singers are a group of our members who have vocal talent and who perform from time to time for our members and on occasion for other audiences.

Kiwanis Night Out

Co-Chair: Char Blodgett & Jane Schulte
Our club recognizes and rewards the hard work of our members each year by hosting a dinner for our members and spouses at the Burlington Golf Club, and arranging for special entertainment and dancing.

Sponsored Youth Circle K - Key Club - Builders Club

Chair: Wyman Weinbeck
Our club members seek to foster the development of a service orientation in our young people by organizing and supervising Kiwanis related activities in the high schools.
